Follow Your Passion, maybe not
This might be somewhat dangerous. Following your passions makes you vulnerable to a sales pitch. Do what you like, but don’t be a slave to your passions.

Music is the cure
Long day Yesterday. have a cold, not sleeping well (4 hours) , had a gig (1 1/2 hour drive, 3 hours on my feet playing the sax for wealthy people drinking expensive wine and eating expensive food. It seems strange to me that some of this wine is worth more than me.), I love to play. My physical condition rarely comes to mind when i am playing the saxophone. Get paid (YAY!) Load the equipment...

Thoughts and feelings
I have noticed that people often confuse thoughts with feelings. People say “i feel like a hamburger.” That really isn’t a feeling, the feeling is probably hunger.
People say “I feel like he doesn’t respect me.” That really isn’t a feeling, it’s a thought that might lead to a very unpleasant feeling.

Female Vocalist
I am always looking for a female vocalist to work with, but when I get with one, they drive me crazy. I think it takes a balance of assertiveness and supportiveness, the supportiveness not being one of my strong suits. And assertiveness with women, is still a challenge for me. I read a book about birth order that said it might be from having an older sister. Who knows.

Triad Textures-from Greg Gaston
Triad Textures
Andy Laverne ,Dec 22, 2009r
Want to add some bite and spice to your voicings? Look to upper structure triads for the uplifting effects you desire. As the name implies, an upper structure triad (UST) is simply a triad placed over another chord with a different root. Some of the hippest sounding voicings have USTs at their core. These triads are usually major or minor, and are...
